    Tournament Blind Structure Calculator

Ever hosted a tournament, but didn't know what blind structure to use? PokerSoup has you covered! We've just added a tournament blinds structure calculator that will calculate blinds for you based on:

    1. The number of players
    2. The starting small blind
    3. The starting chip count
    4. An estimated number of rebuys and add-ons
    5. The round length
    6. The tournament length

We've still got some tweaks to do on it, but it works pretty well right now and we wanted to see what The Internets thought of it.

    Go check it out!

    • it does work correctly. just because you want the game to be over in 3 hours doesn't mean it will be. the structure that is provided results in the appropriate blind levels to end approximately after the duration requested. however, the blinds for the next few rounds are provided in order to ensure the tournament ends soon if it is going too long. just because those rounds are provided doesn't mean you will actually get to them. would you expect the blinds to stop increasing after 3 hours? if that's what you want, you can just ignore the following suggested rounds.

    • The calculator doesn't work properly. You put in 3 hours time limit and it spits back a structure for 4 hours... going elsewhere to find one that actually works...

    • We plan to build in custom points settings for leagues in the future. That's less of a "tool" for general users and more of an integrated feature :)

    • Another tool you could add is a points system similar to online sites. I think i discussed it with Jason. The leagues should be given choice to use a simpler system also.
