    • Anything interesting yet? I'm too lazy to look for myself.

    • Wow, that is lazy... The first bracelet went to Menad Nedic. It was a heck of a final table, with Patrick Antonius, Kathy Leibert(3rd), Mike Sexton(4th) and Andy Bloch(2nd).

      Interesting hand:
PLHE Final Table - Hour Seven - Three Way All In!

      Blinds: 50,000-100,000

      Players Left: 2

      Chip Counts:
      Nenad Medic: 4,520,000
      Andy Bloch: 2,570,000

Nenad Medic raised to 300,000 on the button and Kathy Liebert moved all in for 850,000. Andy Bloch then reraised the pot to 2,800,000. Medic then moved all in after that and Bloch made the call to cover both of his opponents in a three way all in. They then turned up their hands:
      Liebert: 66
      Bloch: 99
      Medic: QQ

      Board: AQ245

Medic won the hand with a set of queens and Liebert was eliminated in third place. She will take home $306,064 in prize

    • The final hand is even better.
Medic hit a monster draw - pair+flush draw + straight draw

    • I have seen Nenad Medic on TV before. He was on the caribbean adventure episode on the WPT I think on season 3? He is a big guy.

    • Thanks for the updates, peoples :) I have a feeling I'll be away from my computer for a long time today (lots of work to do). :/

    • Did anyone else hear that they're playing the final table of the main event something like four months after the rest of the tournament and then airing it live? Shannon Elizabeth said something about it on an ESPN interview the other day. I guess the logic is they can air all of the first few days action ad infinitum to hype up the final table. Sounds dumb to me, but I'm not a TV producer. All kinds of questions, I guess. From issues of hand privacy (slight tape delay?) to issues of boredom (didn't the final table take something like 10 hours last year?) to issues of airtime (when can they sacrifice that kind of airtime?). That's just the beginning...

    • Yeah, there's a post about that somewhere else on this site. I don't like it. People will get extra-extra time to prepare for their opponents, too. Weird!

    • It is not live. It will be telecast one day later.

Yes! people can get coaching etc.
But I think it will help good players more than bad players.

It will give pros some advantage in knowing how these amateurs play.

The only problem is collusion, etc but overall I like the idea.

    • I think it's lame because the organizers are only doing it to hype it up more and get more viewers. Giving people extra time to prepare reduces the fairness of the tournament, in my opinion. I guess it's fair because they are stating it before it starts, but it still seems lame to me :( I guess people will be more "fresh" for the final table, but the non-freshness is part of the fun, I think.

I also want to know who wins right away! We'll see how it goes, I suppose.
