   • LOL, wow. Nice hand :) I've lost to a straight flush a couple times. You know it's possible, but it just doesn't seem real! Especially when playing Hold'em - it's much more likely in Omaha. Either way, good job getting all his money in ;)

     I had quads twice last night. Once in dollar poker (for a $6 pot) and once in the tournament. I was in the big blind and Dave was all in for one-third the small blind. Everybody folded to me and Dave, so I won T1000 with quads when the big blind was T3000. Nice!

   • Yes, this is unreal.
     In most casinos this would be bad beat jackpot hand.

     In a local casino I play minimum strength to qualify is quads with Ts or better for omaha.
     So this hand will not qualify.

     The villain played it bad on the turn. He should have raised to get value for full houses (Jacks full etc).
     Of course all the money was going in there but in the long run that would be right play.

     There was a thread in 2+2 where a very good player folded quads on a straight flush board and it was an epic thread.
     I will try to search it.

   • Would a good player with a, say, nut flush fold to a raise on the turn right there? If so, it seems like raising could be bad. Isn't it more likely somebody has a flush than a full house? I guess that's not the whole question, though. You might get a person to put more money in with a full house, so it might be higher EV to just raise like you said. Interesting stuff...

     I'd like to see that thread. :)

      Everyone was saying that pot odds were good enough to call there.
      if he has KK why would he not bet flop trying to get value from Txxx?

    • there were players to act after him he was probablly trying to get T x to bet. if you have the straight flush why re pop the pot for a third bet when there are few players. if he knows the guy is a good player he knows hes very capable of folding KT or possibly or a boat with QQ,KK and if he had the J diamonds to ensure no possible straight flush he could steal the pot with a huge bet when the tight player probablly will fold. all the action didnt happen till the river so if he had the J diamonds the only hand he can expect to get called by is TT at the most.
