   • Who here plays on Full Tilt? I've been playing low-limit cash games and I haven't had a winning session this whole month. It's nuts. I was thinking about changing it up and maybe trying a few tournaments to clear my poker psyche. Has anybody had any good experiences with the cheaper tournaments? I'm working with a small online bankroll and I don't want to play outside of it. Let me know!

   • I haven't tried FT but PokerStars low stakes sit and goes have been working out for me. I just started playing with real money a couple days ago and I'm still up.

   • Nice, maybe I'll try the sit-n-go action for a while. I might just need a change of scenery to get out of my losing mode. Or maybe I just suck :/

   • 10,000+ hand downswings happen. An unfortunate fact of poker. They sure can tilt you. I would know. Hang in there. It'll get better.

   • Pretty sure you tilt faster than any player I've ever met. Make sure you have outlets for frustration :)

   • Hah. You haven't played with me in a while then :) Playing silly cash home games and trying to play "pro" with a bankroll and rakeback (even at silly low stakes) are two totally different things, too. I haven't pissed any money away yet...

   • So, Craig, I played in a couple tournaments and things seemed to have turned around. I quadrupled my buy-ins on those two tourneys, and then managed to have a winning cash game series a couple days later. I think the change of scenery worked. I wrong about it in my blog, too, but it's not that interesting :) Thanks for the idea of hitting some tournaments.

     btw, I took 363rd in a 20K field tourney on poker stars. Good for $80!

    • Wow, how long did that tourney take?! Crazy... Was it one of those super-cheap buy-in things? I like the sound of PokerStars. Congrats, BTW.
