   • thanks for the input - we really appreciate it. we are trying to figure out a slick way to indicate which forum each post is on. bear with us for a bit :) i like the fact that it's easier to see what's going on (i participate in about 7 forums lol), but i agree it's impossible to know which forum it's on. any ideas?

   • The dashboard page is going to see some fairly drastic changes in the future, and we'll try to work that in. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy the faster loading and more readable timestamp :)

   • Exactly why I like it, too. I didn't like needing to click in to all the forums to see older stuff. I still think it would be nice to be able to know which thread is from what forum. thinking still

     How do you like Ethan's proprietary algorithm to show how long ago the message was posted? LOL

   • Definitely agree: more threads = good, not seeing which forum they are from = not so good. We actually tried to fit that in, but anywhere it went it looked really cluttered, so we took it out. Time to pull out the non-existent design skills and figure out something better...

     It's not automated, by you can copy and paste what someone wrote and make it in to a quote like this:

     Some quote
     {quote}
     
     

     Having a "quote this" button is on our list :)

    • I think 15 is fine. I wouldn't do more than that. btw, I like the forum name its from at the beginning too.

      New suggestion:

      whenever a post reply is done, it takes to you a screen that doesn't have the messages from the thread. So being one with a terrible memory, I would love to have the message from the thread posted above the box where we type, so we can see what was already said.

      And...

      How about getting the line return setup normally. That is, I have to enter 2 returns when I want to start a new line. Why not just one return? WYSIWYG is a good thing.

      just my 2 cents.

    • Showing the recent posts is on the list and has been bumped up - that is a good idea. As for the newlines, we're in the process of replacing our current wiki processor with a much better one that will handle this simple case. Believe me, it bugs the crap out of me too :) It will also use a nicer syntax. The problem is that we have to translate all our old content to a new format - and that's not very easy!

    • Yes, I put the "previous message above" in our list to do this weekend this morning since we were talking about the quoting ;)

      The newline thing in the forums hasn't bothered me too much, but like Ethan said, we are working on it. I've been trained to double-space between paragraphs for the last 20 years, so it's never too high on my list. It is terrible when making short list-like posts, though.

    • 15 is fine as far as having the last thing in the post part of it might be difficult because there is only so much space so im sure esspecially for ethan and jason who are part of all the leagues ive joined 4 and i dont know if id have enough room on the dashboard page for all that. but having the group the post is from makes it better
