   • Quads vs Royal is rare but it happened in main event this year. (opening episodes I think)
     It was Quad Aces vs diamond royal flush

   • Yup. Both players made it on the river with the ace of diamonds. The dude who made the Royal on the river had the straight anyway, so the trip aces were only ahead on the flop.

     Here's a video of it. You can see that the made their gut-shot straight on the turn (which also gave him the Royal draw). I bet the aces slow-played the flop. Guess he paid for it! LOL. He deserved to lose the way he threw his chips in, anyway.
