Artichoke Joe's this Sunday

    • Has anybody attended tournaments at Artichoke Joe's?

Krishna and I were thinking about going this Sunday. I'm not sure what to expect completely, but it looks like a decent setup. Any idea on how early I should arrive to ensure a spot or how many players even play on Sundays?

      Thanks for any info :)

    • I think the Sunday game only allows one rebuy/add-on. Still, I'm sure it's fold/push type of action, but that sounds a bit better than unlimited rebuys like some of the other days.

Dave - do you know how many tables they have or how early I should try and get there?

    • I've been a couple of times. You need to get there about an hour early to ensure a spot. It's a loose game with $20 rebuys for the first three rounds. It tightens up to a respectable game after that. If you happen to make it to the final table, the blinds and antes structure is crazy!!!

    • Most likely a donkey game if u get lucky or just play steady then u should be fine.

    • it says one rebuy on the website, but it is actually multiple, I think they run 8-9 tables with alternates.

    • Thanks for the info, Dave. I guess I pictured the place as a bit smaller. I'll have to check it out some time. Krishna and I decided to pass today, but hopefully sometime soon we'll find a good one and go. I'll be sure to post it here. We're mainly looking for something decently sized for about $100 without the crazy rebuy/add-on action.
