Clarification on The Stable

    • I will not be posting in the open forums anymore. I will only post in the Stable forums. As my last post in the open forums, I am just going to say this to people who have not come and might want to play but might be put off from what they have heard. Last week was B.S. Bunch of guys out of control I admit that. My game in 2 years has not had one fight, never had the police called, and had my neighbor come by once, cause we were playing too late. My wife and 6 month old child sleep through the whole night without interruption. All this despite living in a very uptight neighborhood filled with million dollar plus homes. I have and most there have always welcomed new players. My game is made up of 3-5 people that are from the east bay. My game has people who have won a wpt event, mulitple events at bay 101, Lucky Chances, and Garden City. I have played in multiple games in the bay area and I think I'd put my game up there as challenging as any of the others. Yes there are one or 2 people who can be loud(these people don't even show up to half the tournaments), and yes people drink. I just wanted to let everyone know since this is my last post everybody is welcome to come try it out. If its not for you fine, no hard feelings, but I just don't want any misunderstandings to what the game really is on a weekly basis. Good luck in poker and life.
      Tony

    • I've been off the site for a few days because of some personal matters, but I'm sorry to hear about the situation last week. I've only been to the Stable once (a long time ago) and it was a full game, so I just observed. I've only heard good things about Tony's game (from people I trust), and I suggest you check it out if you are looking for a fun, yet challenging, game. It might be too fun for some people, but you can only know if you try it yourself. The only reason I don't go is because I don't like to lose :p

BTW, the speech-to-video reports are HELLA.

    • I played my first game (cash game) at The Stable last Saturday. I had a great time. Tony runs game very professionally and even though I lost my stack to Parag...I will definitely go back and play again. Hoping for more cash games in the future.

    • i've played at the stable twice total. On Sat I showed up late several hours late to the cash game (like 6 hrs) but I still showed up because well i'm a poker fend and 2 i think the players and the atmoshpere are cool. Thought i was going to be able to take some easy money from some tired players. They ended up taking mine. lol
Tony is a great poker game host. He'll let you know if you've played the hand well and or if it could of been played better. since people are posting up compliments, thought'd i so the same. Look forward to next game at the stable. And I'm pretty sure you had an A3 on that one hand, brutality...hope u bounce back from that quick.

    • I remember some huge drunk guy wanted to kick my ass for no reason there about a year ago, It got really crazy that night, I wonder if its the same guy from last week? But I'd still go to the games if I didnt have a schedule conflict.
