Garden City?????

    • I went to the late night $120 buy in tournament at Garden city on Sunday night/Monday morning. I have not actually played a tournament for a couple months. I usually like it at Garden City but things were totally rearranged. The vibe seemed way different and the focus being more on the 3 card poker/paigow/blackjack etc.. Plus there were only 38 people in the tournament. I busted out at 15th or so and just did not enjoy the experience and felt I should have went to Bay 101 for the late night tourney there.

Anyone else get a different vibe from Garden City now?

    • I haven't been in a while, but I did play in a Sunday tournament there a couple months ago. The dealers for the tourney were very sketchy. That's the only time I've played in a tournament there, so I don't know if it had a different feel. The last time I played in the cash game it all seemed the same to me.

    • Alot has changed within the past year at GC. They got new managment beginning of last year. Every little thing has been upgraded. Seems to have lost some popularity during the transistion phase. The midnight tourney structure at GC is better that bay101's but you can always rely on 50+ at bay101.

    • i prefer garden city but thats because it has a more homey feel and for the period before i moved up to sac i had a good response with most the dealers and floor personel to where i didnt wait long for seats though it has changed with the ownership and ive heard grumblings from players as of late

    • I hate Garden City now. Their focus now seems to be on the black jack tables and not poker. Popped in last year after not being there for quite a while and was completely floored at the wait for poker cash games. There must have been over 100 people on the list, and it was not moving at all. Very different from how it used to be. I wont go back.
