Land mines

    • Thanks for coming to the game, NIck, Adrian, Jason, Darren, and Jon. Seems like every one of you got sucked out on. Definatly thought you guys all have a really good game(Darren excluded cause he didn't have time with his aa cracked by kk so never even got a chance to play. Seems like everyone of you got yourself in good spots vs the right people and got hit by a land mine.

    • ... and those 12 oz. scuds... plenty of those to duck as well... ironically, the winner had zero scuds and dodged all the mines....

    • I had about 55k before this hand. Blinds were 300-600. Person to my right raises minimum to 1200, I re-pop it to 3200. The person to my left calls, then the original raiser to my right re-pops again to 8500.......I sit and think for 30 seconds and finally call a raise out. I set out the 8500 and look down at about 46k and say ALL-IN. The person to my left folds and then the guy to my right (who I put on queens or kings at this point) says "damn, you must have me............either you have queens or aces." Right there I knew he had the kings 100% and he calls.

I flip over (and say to him, "you got kings?")

      He flips over ("damn")

The flop: The turn: The river!.......

I ended up with about 3300 after the hand was said and done. This was one of the worst beats I've had in a while, especially after hitting that ace in the window.....(flipped over one at a time btw...fun huh?) Oh well, "that's poker".

Thanks for the tourny though. Maybe next time I'll be able to show you some of those poker skills! or lack there of...
