It appears the one and only Danny Gans has died. He's been the "Entertainer of the Year" since I ever started going to Vegas. Wow. And after all these years I've still never seen his show. For all the jokes I've made about the fact that he must be the greatest entertainer in the world, I was actually thinking about seeing him the last few times I went to Vegas. Sad.

Totally odd that you post this today, Jason, as I was talking with Dave this morning about the very same thing - that I might actually go to the WSOP for the first time this year, stay at the Rio and I'm not going to be able to see Danny Gans - something I always planned to do... Some day.
I remember the day he died - May 1st. Someone mentioned it at the table and I thought he must be joking - Danny was far too young to die.
He was. Very sad. I, too, will never know what I missed.

Ya, we saw a big billboard for Gans in Vegas mid-May. Guess they didn't have time to take it down.
