Chip Sets

    • I've seen the threads before regarding the best chip sets out there. Did we ever come to a conclusion on the best place to buy a quality chip set? Heavy weights are great! If anyone knows of a good spot to purchase chip sets, let me know I'm in the market for a better set then the one I have now. Thanks!

    • one thing i forgot to ask, darren: do 20 of these chips fit nicely in the plastic chip racks? i know trish and melonee have chips that are just a bit too thick to fit 20. have you tried with yours?

    • I just made a big order on Poker 'n Stuff.

I purchased some acrylic racks and the 600 chip carrying case.

More importantly, I purchased enough Tournament Pro Series 14g chips to have a 20-30 person deep stack tournament with add-ons and rebuys!

      • qty 200 x 25 (green)
      • qty 200 x 100 (black)
      • qty 100 x 500 (purple)
      • qty 100 x 1000 (yellow)
      • qty 50 x 5000 (pink)
      • qty 50 * 10000 (orange)

I'm excited! Now my old set can be used a cash game set and can support about $800 on the table. Hopefully I'll be set up for a tournament and side-game soon.

I also used the coupon code "WSOP" for 10% off, baby. I got it all for $180. Not bad, considering I spent that much 7 years ago on my first 500-count chip set.

BTW, does anybody have experience purchasing the blocks/pucks that are used in Europe to represent large sums of money? See the stack of reds and blues that James has? I've always wanted to use those for $100k+ in a tournament. Having a stack of blocks would be AWESOME.
