making a living playing poker

    • so i'm in india these days, and i figure i'm spending about US$25 per day, that's for everything, including rent.
so if i can make that much playing online, i can stay here forever!

      which shouldn't be impossible, right?

these days i play mostly pot limit omaha hi-lo tourneys, for $11 + 1, sometimes $22 + 1, sometimes the bigger scheduled ones.
finished 2nd out of 96 yesterday in a 10 dollar tourney, and been cashing in some of the sit n go's i'm playing.

i couldn't make enough playing in the states, but here i think it just might be possible...

      what do you guys think?

    • $750/mo. will leave ya with more disposable income, I mean, "investment funds."
      Good luck!

I gather you're planning on staying there for a long while?

    • seems easy to me! i think low-stakes cash games would help reduce your variance and should be good enough if you only need $25/day. go for it!

    • yeah, craig, at least out of the US for a while. here, or japan, or maybe africa.

jason, yes that's what i'm thinking, keep it to those 11 + 1 turbos. low variance, steady climb.

Good luck !! Where are you in India ?
Try 14+2 Sit & Go on Fulltilt. They start with 300 chips and players are wild. easy money there for a player like you ...

      Cheers
