(go back one page to find first part)....so we go to dinner break my phone dies( hello 4g just in time) and find hector and he tells me he has 19k at dinnner after he was down to 850 in chips lol. (So Hector) I get back from break and my table breaks fast enough and now i am on the rail which is nice. I work my way back up to about 17k with not much resistance at my new passive table with everyone 40 and older :). then with the blinds 200-400 with god knows what ante(this is all a blur by now kid utg shoves 12k! 12 fucking k utg. I look down and of course I pick up my first hand of the break ak. I was sick. I didnt want to call cause I felt I could pick up pots at this table without much resistance and of course there is no way kid has aa kk here so its probably mid to low pair or aq right? SO after about 2 mins of thinking I decide fuck it I have him covered(although this leaves me pretty short) and he def could have aq here and if he did id be sick. I call and he shows........89 of clubs? ugh well a club club flops and the dealer peels of the q of clubs, so bye bye chips. I go card dead get worked down to like 7 bb and start shoving every late pos chance I get. I win a race and this somehow gets me to 10-11k over next 2 hours. I get caught making a small raise with blinds at 5-1000 and decide to fold to leave myself 9 bb. Next hand I pick up aj and shove and guy calls me with kq spades. Ace flops with one spade. Turn spade, river Spade. 280-290 range outta 24-2500. I get extremely drunk the next 3 days win 3-4 cash sessions hit 2 on roulette for 700 and drink 100 17 dollar margaritas at the Cabana by the pool. The end. For the fun part of the trip Gordo can write that one :) OH also hector went out 10 mins after me after we both played for 12 half hours

That is a very sad wsop tourney story. You were ahead in every big-pot occasion. The cards were against you.
The Ak loss to 98s was exceptionally brutal as you were way ahead. Isn't it true you are coin-flipping most of the time in that spot ...What made you call after all?

I finally decided the kid was playing way too loose and could have aq aj there. Also there was no way it was aa or kk. I also know to win the tourny I needed to get to around 10 million on chips :) a fold there woulda been real weak due to the kids range. Like I said though it was close cause I was picking up chips pretty easy without contest. So it was a very close desision, one I don't regret.
