Hi I'm New

    • My name is Tony Berman, and I am from upstate NY. My online stats aren't too impressive, I can't afford to play much higher than $2-$5 sit and go's/Tourneys(I'm a college student), and get hit hard with bad beats quite often because of it. I'm mainly on FullTilt and my name is Tonyberman61, keep an eye out for me. I've been trying to find more people like myself, but few of my friends and none of my family support me in my poker endeavors, and I'm hoping you guys are welcoming to a young, ambitious player.

    • Hey Tony, nice to meet you. I think you'll fit in here :) It's too bad that none of your friends or family support you, but some people don't understand that poker is more than gambling. Don't get me wrong, gambling is fun, and gambling while playing poker can be fun, but when it comes down to it, I do it because I like winning, especially when it involves winning money. And that's not just gambling.

I'm jdmounge on Full Tilt. A small group of us play in weekly tournaments on Mondays on that site. I'll send you an invite for the league. We do an $11 tourney at 7pm PST and a $22 tourney at 9pm PST. Stop by and observe and say "hi" if you don't want to play those stakes. We'll see you around.

    • Welcome + good luck. It's hard to put in the volume, but you can do it if you put your mind to it. Make sure you play within your roll and don't tilt (be honest with yourself).

    • Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Once school starts up again and I'm into a bit more money, I'll play in the weekly FullTilt Monday games, thanks for the invite!
