Our boy takes 5th in WSOP event #32

    • Our league is the Bad Beat Poker League. We sent two guys to the $5K buy in WSOP event this past weekend. One of our boys, Orlando Delacruz, made the final table and took 5th place!!!!!! This was his first time there and was so close to winning a bracelet and a huge payday when his pocket 10's got cracked by pocket queens.

    • We have one more guy from our league playing in event 49 that starts today.

      Good Luck Ralph!

    • Ralph is out of the tournament within the first 2 hrs. He had Ah,Qh. Under the gun he bets 1200 preflop. One player calls. Flop is 4h,Qd, 6h. Ralph bets 1800 and the dude calls. Turn is Ac. Ralph bets 1800 and the other guy comes over the top for another 4200 and is all in. He's got Ralp covered and Ralph calls. Dude flips over pocket 4's. Ralph still has a few outs but didn't get any help on the river. His first WSOP is over!!!!

Bad Beat Poker League sends 3 guys total to the WSOP. One guys makes the final table, one guys takes 250thish place out of 500, and the last guy goes down in flames quick.

We're trying to take some of the $118K winnings and send someone to the main event. Just need everyone to agree to give up a piece of their pie!

    • We're sending one of our guys to the Main Event! This was our first year running a league and we didn't expect to send someone to the main event. However, placing 5th allowed us to have some extra money to send someone and take our chances.

Tony will be going to represent the Bad Beat Poker League from Sacramento!!!

    • I haven't been able to get any detailed updates, but chip count wise, Tony is sitting in 184 place out of 819 players remaining. He survives day one of the Main Event!

    • Here's the deal: He played day one in the 1a group that played on Monday. He was off the last two days while group B and C played. Group D plays on Thursday and then Tony's group is back playing on Friday starting at noon.

He was sitting with 90K chips and an hour left to play. He got pocket 10's and caught a 10 on the flop. Two guys go all in and Tony calls. Tony's was in the lead with one guy having big slick and the other guy had a straight draw. Turn was no help and then the river gave one guy the straight. Dropped tony down to about 28.5k chips.

Two hands left before end of day and he doubles up to 57K in chips. That's where he ended the day and waiting until Friday.

    • talk about a rollercoaster... just think where he'd be sitting if that straight didn't come! good luck, man!

    • update - Tony started playing today at 12 noon. He started the day with 57K chips. At the first break he was up to 64K in chips and at dinner time he had 76K chips. We'll see if he can survive til the end of today!!!!
