Guides to Starting your Home Poker League

Hey all, we are working on creating some guides to help people start their own home poker leagues using PokerSoup.com. I'm sure most of you probably already are aware of the functionality we offer for people interested in hosting and tracking results for home poker league games. In any case, I wanted to let you know we are creating this section and hope to make it jam-packed with good stuff.

New Tournament Invite and Message Forms

Hey home poker league admins: we redid the invite/message forms on the tournament page. They're now dialogs that pop open on the tournament page instead of taking you to a new page to finish the invite/message process. We also added the ability to select individual users to message or invite if you want.

We really like the new dialog thing and hope to start using across the site much more. Please let us know what you think or if you have any problems in the comments.

Tournament RSVPs - Now With More Awesome

Wow, it's been a while since we've done one of these. Don't worry, we've been hard at work!

If you're a league admin, you'll notice that you can now edit RSVPs for a tournament right on the tournament page. Just hover over a player's RSVP and click the little "edit" image and a form will slide out allowing you to change or completely delete responses.

Let us know what you think in the comments. We've got some more updates to the RSVP page in the works as well ;)

    Blind Structure Helper Revamp

Go check out our updates to the blind structure helper. We stripped down the interface by hiding the more advanced options, and we even added a few more.

We've got a few more features in the works for it, so make sure to bookmark the page and check back!

    New PokerSoup Site-Wide Online League

Check out the new public online league for all PokerSoup users. We're hoping this will be a good way for people in different leagues to interact with the rest of the PokerSoup community.

We will be hosting private online tournaments on FullTilt every Monday and Tuesday night and hope to expand to other nights and perhaps other poker sites soon. Click on the link above, then the "request invitation" link to get added to the league.

    Image Uploading

You can now upload images and link them in forums and blog posts! You should see the link on your dashboard. We'll be adding some more awesomeness too, like one-click inserting in to forum/blog posts.

This is also the new way to upload an avatar: first upload the image you want, then click the "assign as avatar" button.

Let us know what you think in the comments.

    New Dashboard and Profile Pages

Ever notice how your dashboard/profile page had a bunch of stuff on it that was kinda hard to find? Well, your problems are hopefully (mostly) solved. We've changed the dashboard to be a lot clearer, and it loads faster, too.

We've also introduced the concept of separate "dashboard" and "profile" pages. Your dashboard page is now located at the site's home page and contains many of the important links you'll need to get around and see what's happening on the site forums, blogs, and leagues. The profile page resides at the URL that the dashboard pages used to be, and just shows the general information that everybody could see when they came to your profile/dashboard page in the past.

As usual, please let us know if you run into any problems or have any other suggestions. Thanks!
