S I just finished up my first week of my SNE chase and there are two things that have caught my attention. The first is I cannot believe how much I have been dreaming of poker when I go to bed. There were times I played late into the night, went to sleep, and played a whole session in my dreams, only to wake up and play some more. Worst part was it wasn't like the table was Shakira, Jollie, and Fox. I did not like this at all. It gives you no down time to review how you played in your mind as your constantly going over new hands. The only reason I played in the late evenings was because I had slacked on my schedule, which makes me come to my second conclusion. I really need to keep to my schedule. I realized if I get up on time workout and eat a good breakfast it is so much easier to deal with the amount of hands I am putting in. The 3 days I did this I felt great and actually finished off early. The days I did not I was feeling pressure to "catch up" and keep myself on pace. My plan is to really work on the consistency of my schedule.
So now to the poker. I am down a few g in Monies right now and running horrible but this has actually been a good thing to start with. I am not down on myself at all and that is a good sign. I feel like the amount of tables is getting easier to deal with everyday, and my muti tabling game has improved in just one week, even if my results are not where I want them to be. My wife had a good thought on this. She said it's like knowing how to juggle 4 things at once, and now you have added a fifth. It is gonna take some time to get used to. So spirits are up as I go into my second week. Time for some rungood!

    • thanks for the answer. that's a pretty slick setup for the table ninja - good idea. i didn't see that feature when i used it a year ago or so. i still have to stop by some time so you can show me. maybe this week before the game :D

    • Last few weeks I have been averaging about 12-18 mostly 6 max. I don't check to see if I won the hand at any point during my sessions. If I am in a big hand I have table ninja so I will move that table to the side with the press of one key so I can keep an eye on the action on that table. I have it so I can do this to up to 4 larger tables on my 27 inch if I have that many big hands going on. Mis clicks are part of the game at this point so yeah it happens but maybe like 3 times a session and it is like folding 55 on the button instead of a raise or something when I am folding a lot. you do time out on occasion but if you aren't checking your all ins and results your fine. The key here is to review your sessions when they are over to see where you are making mistakes or missed bets. You usually get to see showdowns at 12-16 tables so you don't miss too many results unless your all in and they flip up the cards so if you see you have aa vs 99 or 99 vs aa you already know you got it in bad or good. The fun part is going back later to see if you held up or sucked out lol

    • Some random questions, we really like the technical stuff...at least i do.

How many tables have you been averaging these last two weeks?

When you are playing "14-20" tables at 6-max, are you watching the conclusions of the hands your involved in to see if you won the hand or are you just making an action and moving onto the next table (even if it was an allin) without looking back? I hear its difficult to see all hand outcomes when multitabling 10+ tables. I've been told, just make correct decesions and don't worry about about the hand turns out...is this what you've been doing?

This might be a multi-table NOOB question but have you had some missed opportunities for betting and or misclicks due to the high number of tables?

BTW, congrats on your new FT occupation and keep up the good work. Looks like you're quite a bit ahead of your required VPP number so far, Cheers!

    • Ty pokergob. True when your losing you pay attention to getting beats more. I am pretty comfortable with my pace and have improved my time management already. Don't feel like Im spreading myself too thin at all at this point. Also I have stayed pretty positive so far! I am also playing a lot of 6 max which has a way higher variance, so I do need to realize when things are not going to go as smooth as full ring. Thanks for the advice!

    • Sometimes spreading yourself to thin is the problem. Strangely a positive mindset can help you "run good" maybe you just don't notice the bad runs as much when you're positive..

    • It's a good start Tony, not the monies but the attitude!! It sounds like it's more like juggling 5 balls with each hand!! Play hard and run gooood, and always listen to the advice of your better half.
